Synopsis
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives in a retirement bear house. Accompanying the Brown family, an exciting adventure takes place when a mystery takes them on an unexpected journey. Paul King, the director of the two previous films, has decided not to direct this part. However, he pitched the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer. For a few minutes I thought no!
For those who don’t know, the previous president, Sally Hawkins, said it was time to move on. I tried to make it up to her, but to me, Emily Mortimer is just an older product of a school for pretty girls in London. I know, the show has moved on, but Emily’s opening moves are annoying and uninspiring. I really tried to warm to her, she progressed strangely later in the film… the least they could have done is give her a meaningful script, she seemed too much like a little wife who doesn’t say much.
Let’s be honest
Sorry Em! Same for Madeleine Harris playing Judy, maybe more lines for both of them next time. Maybe she tried to be Sally Hawkins at times. I’m not sure, but she had big boots to boot and Sally was a roaring success. In the end, they all performed their roles very well.

So this time the beloved Peruvian shows initiative and comes to the aid of family members. This journey takes him to the art of Lahndan around the world to guess where… A member of the A family is in trouble, and the eldest’s folly and mortal sin are the cause of all the mischief. The scenery in the distant place is stunning, just gorgeous, it inspired me to go there, as did London, which is grimly happy. There is a lot of fun, action and tears in the film, but very young children, not very brave, will find the show not so warm, scary in parts, I thought so at times.
Just saying, I don’t think this is the end
Haha …. that doesn’t take anything away from the CGI impact of the movie and especially the ear splitting. Forget it if you have healthy phobias of certain creatures (not snakes). Bonneville seems to have had a hair transplant, not sure, but he gives a great performance as always, as does Walters and some great newcomers to the story.
